Mom Robbed at Gunpoint at Dell Holmes Park

St. Petersburg Police are searching for a robbery suspect that robbed a mother at gunpoint in Dell Holmes Park.

Monday at Dell Holmes park, a man pointed a gun at a mother's one-year-old daughter and demanded money.

Officers met with the victim, a 32-year-old woman, who advised that she had just driven to the park to allow her one-year-old daughter to play.

According to police, the victim was in the process of exiting her car, when she was approached by a lone male suspect who produced a handgun, pointed it at her daughter's head and demanded money.

The suspect then pointed the gun at the mother now demanding the bag she was holding. The suspect took the bag and the victim was able to activate her car alarm as the suspect fled north between the houses out of sight, police said.

According to police, the victim immediately called 911 and responding officers were unable to locate the suspect in the area. No suspect vehicle was seen.

Neither the victim nor her daughters were harmed.

The suspect was described a man, 25-30 years of age, 5'8" -5'10", 150-170 lbs.
