As the man neared the intersection of 9th Avenue North, he lost control on a bend and drove over a raised center median. At the same time, a 2004 Toyota driven by Indira Clarke was heading northbound on Tyrone. She saw the motorcycle and tried to avoid it as it crossed the median, but the motorcycle’s driver was ejected into her path, the release said.

The man, who remains unidentified by police, was taken to Bayfront Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
