Operation Blue Crush Leads to 12 Arrests

Narcotics detectives were able to develop the cases through information and complaints received from the community about drug activity in the area.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office has made 12 arrests in "Operation Blue Crush." 

According to the sheriff's office, a four-month long investigation led to the arrests of 12 of 44 suspects in the Lealman/St. Petersburg area.  

The suspects, according to authorities, were arrested on multiple drug charges ranging from sale and possession of illicit drugs such as cocaine, as well as sale, possession and trafficking in several commonly abused prescription drugs such as oxycodone and hydromorphone.
