Police Charge St. Pete Woman with Murder

The victim and the suspect got into an argument, which led to the alleged stabbing.

A St. Petersburg woman has been charged with second degree murder for the stabbing death of her boyfriend, according to St. Petersburg Police. 

Annanay Teaheartt, 47, is awaiting trial at the Pinellas County Jail. The victim's name will be released once next-of-kin have been notified. 

According to police, when officers arrived at the residence in the 3100 block of Queensboro Avenue South, they found the victim unresponsive suffering from a stab wound.

Police said the victim was transported to Bayfront Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators said Teaheartt and the victim were in an argument. Teaheartt said the victim hit her with a box cutter and then in the face. Then, according to police, she grabbed a knife and stabbed the victim.

Police said Teaheartt has a minor injury to her lip, but the box cutter she said the victim hit her with has not been found. 

According to jail records, Teaheartt has previously been charged with aggravated battery, domestic battery, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, providing a false name and grand theft.
