Police Identify Suspect in Deadly Gas Station Shooting

St. Petersburg Police have issued a warrant for first-degree muder for 20-year-old Damon Danterius Ford.

St. Petersburg Police have identified 20-year-old Damon Danterius Ford as the suspect in a shooting at a gas station that left one man dead. 

Now, police said they need your help locating him.

According to police, Ford is 5'7" with a slim build. Police said he is clean-shaven with a dreadlock hairstyle.

Ford has "D Ford" tattooed on his left forearm, "trap" on the right arm, "problem" on his right hand and "solver" on the left hand, according to the police report.

The shooting happened just after midnight Oct. 5 at a gas station at 753 5th Ave. S.

According to police, the surveillance video shows Ford and 21-year-old Caleb Scott getting into an argument as Scott is entering the store. During the incident Scott is shot to death. 

Police said shooting was captured on surveillance video but the video above cuts just before the shooting.
