Police Search for Carjacking, Credit Card Fraud Suspects

A woman's car was stolen from her while she was walking her dog in St. Petersburg, police said.

Two men suddenly attacked a woman who had parked her car on the side of the road to let her dog out to go to the bathroom last week, St. Petersburg Police said.

The male suspects pushed her to the ground and stole her vehicle with her purse inside.

Police said the alleged carjacking happened around 7:55 p.m. July 22 at 11th Avenue North and 37th Street.

Once the victim got out of her SUV, police said two men hopped out of a car parked across the street from the victim.

According to police the two suspects ran over to her, knocked her to the ground, took her keys and fled the area in her SUV.

The victim's vehicle was located a short time later and returned to the victim. However, purse was not found.

Hours after the carjacking, police said two female suspects used the victim's credit card at a Walmart and CITGO gas station in Pinellas Park.

Walmart surveillance video captured the two female suspects and police said they need the public's help to identify them.
