CVS Robber Holds Clerk at Gunpoint

St. Petersburg Police are looking for a man who entered a CVS store, stole money from the cash register and demanded Oxycodone.

A man entered a CVS store at 8001 Dr. MLK St. N. just after midnight Wednesday, brandished a handgun and demanded money and Oxycodone.

After wandering through the store, the suspect approached the clerk at the front counter, produced a handgun and demanded cash from the register.

According to police, after being provided the money, the suspect demanded the drug Oxycodone. The clerk walked back with the suspect to the pharmacy section of the store, where the pharmacist told him that they did not stock the drug and the suspect fled with just the cash.

Police said the suspect is described as a male in his late teens to early twenties, approximately 5'7", slender build, wearing a light colored hooded pullover jacket with an unidentified logo on the front, and black pants.

Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect should call Det. Robert Anderson at 727-893-5910; callers may also utilize the anonymous TIP line, at 727-892-5000.
