Second SunTrust Bank Robbery in St. Pete

Police do not believe the suspect in today's robbery is connected to another SunTrust Bank robbery that happened Monday afternoon.

St. Petersburg Police say a man walked into the SunTrust Bank at 3100 Central Ave. around 9 a.m. Tuesday morning.

This less than 24 hours after a man robbed SunTrust Bank at 3601 34th St. N around 1:15 p.m. Monday.

Investigators do not believe the suspect is the same man, as the descriptions differ.

The man wanted in today's robbery is described as a black man, approximately 30 years old and 5'4" tall with a stocky build. He is clean shaven and was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black shoes.

Police do not have information yet on a possible weapon or suspect vehicle. Officials will release photos when available.

Investigators are still searching for the suspect in connection with the SunTrust Bank robbery on Monday. He was last seen wearing a blue New York Yankees baseball cap, had on a black shirt and was carrying a blue and white backpack.
