St. Pete Driver Dead After I-275 Crash

Michael Hano's car swerved on a curve and slammed into a guardrail.

ST. PETERSBURG – A 29-year-old St. Petersburg driver is dead, after his 2006 Infiniti slammed into a guardrail on I-275 after midnight Saturday.

Michael Andrew Hano was driving south on Interstate 275, just south of SR-686, when his car veered on a curve and traveled across lanes before slamming into a guardrail.

The impact caused the car to vault on to the shoulder of the road, coming to rest in an embankment west of I-275.

Hano was taken to Bayfront Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.

Tha accident is under investigation.

According to state police, Hano's driver license was suspended in November 2011.

The charges against Hano on Nov. 5, 2011, were driving under the influence and driving with a license canceled, suspended or revoked. His address was in a condominium in downtown St. Petersburg.
