St. Pete Pride Attendee Shot by BB Gun

Cornelius Davis, 20, is accused of yelling gay slurs and shooting a BB gun at a spectator at the gay pride festival on Saturday.

St. Petersburg Police have arrested a man that they say yelled gay slurs and shot a BB gun at spectator walking to Saturday's St. Pete Pride, according to a report by the Tampa Bay Times

Cornelius Davis, 20, of 4740 1st Ave. S, was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. He is awaiting trail on a $100,000 bond. 

According to the Times, the victim was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. The victim's name has not been released. 

"According to a police report, Davis yelled a derogatory term for gay people at the man and a group of friends who were walking to the parade. He yelled that they should "put some clothes on" and that "this is a disgrace, there are kids around here."
