SunTrust Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested

The suspect was arrested after allegedly committing a second robbery Wednesday morning at BB&T, 100 34th St. N.

The suspect in Tuesday's SunTrust Bank robbery at 3100 Central Ave. was arrested Wednesday morning after allegedly committing another bank robbery.

This time it was at BB&T Bank, which is located at 100 34th St. N. 

Michael Ingram, 39, of 2860 1st Ave. S., was arrested and has been charged with the robbery of the BB&T bank. Charges are pending for the SunTrust robbery.

According to St. Petersburg Police, around 9:23 a.m. Wednesday detectives were in the area of the BB&T Bank when they observed an individual enter who appeared to resemble the suspect from Tuesday's robbery at the SunTrust Bank at 3100 Central Ave.

After Ingram exited the bank detectives detained him. Then, police said they quickly determined that he had just committed a robbery to the BB&T Bank.

Similar to Tuesday's robbery, the suspect apparently handed a note to the teller demanding money.

Ingram was leaving with the cash in hand when stopped by detectives. He was not armed and there were no injuries suffered during this incident, according to police.

According to jail records, Ingram has previously been charged with violation of parole for ID fraud, forgery, dealing in stolen property and fraud.
