Woman Shot Inside St. Pete Home

St. Petersburg Police said several bullets were shot through the home from outside.

Police found a St. Petersburg woman early Tuesday morning inside a home on the 1000 block of 13th Avenue South suffering from gunshot wounds.

According to police, there were also two children inside the home at the time of the shooting. The children, ages 2 and 4, were unharmed.

Police said there were several bullet holes that entered that home from the outside, "as well as items of evidentiary value."

Suspects are being developed and the investigation is ongoing, police said.

The woman is now recovering at a local hospital.
