A wonderful opportunity for the 53%.
Chuck Fortin October 03, 2012 at 07:53 PM
I was not invited. I collect Social Security and have Medicare benefits when needed. Where does that put me along the 0-100% spectrum?
Joe King October 03, 2012 at 07:55 PM
I'm sure the unions won't have to pay people to show up to cheer on Mitt.
sparky October 03, 2012 at 08:01 PM
I wonder if the mayor will be there arriving by dragon boat in a pink bra with the pier building imploding just as he steps on shore! Its always nice to have a mayor that can relate to the common street person.

Boxers, briefs or magical protective undergarments? That's what my sign will say!
Dharma October 03, 2012 at 08:06 PM
if u really think your apart of the 53 percent.. then its a good day for u or other like youreslf for me, its a day of the gym and generally not being around to give him a second of my time... where ever it is. i wouldnt go if he paid respect to the 47 percent and 99 percent and brought back 3/4's of the jobs he got rid of and sent overseas........... not on a good day.
PinellasVoter October 03, 2012 at 08:14 PM
I'll pass. I'm a 47%er...

who cares if he falls in the ocean. someone who is unintentionally raped, he can look at their abdomen and yell' be gone and she is no longer pregnant. what a guy.

I welcome him whole heartedly and wish him the very best of luck! I wont be voting for him but as a good southerner lol I am compelled to be polite! lol
Michael D. October 03, 2012 at 08:55 PM
I welcome him just like I would welcome any of the candidates running for the president. Our area needs to be seen and the candidates should be hear. Their own voices, not the media versions of their messages.

Oh gross!!
cherylwithac October 03, 2012 at 10:29 PM
Don't you think that we should hurry up and build the Lens before Mitt arrives? The mayor and the city council I'm sure are terribly ashamed to have a presidential candidate making a stop at the terribly outdated (NOT) upside-down Pier.
Rider October 03, 2012 at 10:52 PM
If Mitt had any kind of backbone, he would deride the lens proposal as a prime example of government spending out of control......but then again, this is Mitt, he says whatever he thinks will get him elected and he won't speak on this obvious issue, very important to the citizens of St Pete....
Brian Longstreth October 03, 2012 at 11:12 PM
He's going down, just like the Pier....

Barry is a loser this time around, his record proves he is a loser. He lost our credit rating and our cash.

Nice outlook. Great range on the listening skills. Hope your workout is more productive. RE: exporting jobs; Ask around about who's building and re-building our bridges.
Gilbert Mike Henry October 04, 2012 at 05:22 PM
Why and how is the Obama campaign spending 100 Million MORE dollars than the Romney campaign if he truly is the man of the people he claims to be? Any ideas? Think about it. Do you really think that is all from the unions, the middle class and the oppressed?
Gilbert Mike Henry October 04, 2012 at 05:27 PM
And why does our truth seeking media not discuss what percentage of income goes to charity? And can we not take off our emotional masks long enough to recognize that those of us who need help may also need direction?
Gilbert Mike Henry October 04, 2012 at 05:36 PM
Consider that 47% of us who actually take time to vote may actually believe that if the government takes care of things that we won't have to worry about them. Maybe 47% of us just don't care as long as we have food, clothing, housing and entertainment (in no particular order). Or more likely it is that 90% of our political bent is all about personality, some of us like having things done for us, and the rest of us like to get things done. We should talk more often among ourselves and not allow spin machines (media and political) to drive us apart. FACT: We are not that different. We have much, much more in common with each other than we do with anyone who claims to govern us in our best interest. Especially when those doing the governing and law making are paying a thousand times more to get elected than they are being paid to "take care of us."
Gilbert Mike Henry October 04, 2012 at 08:42 PM
You can ride over to the pier with me.
Don October 05, 2012 at 01:22 PM
I will be there because I did build my business without the assistance of the government! Barry O is working on re-distribution of wealth, something for nothing! free lunch! I have learned there is no free lunch and my wife and I earn under 30K last year
george w. October 06, 2012 at 06:36 PM
Do you gullible democrats really believe that in just one day the unemployment rate drops under 8%? This is just the media trying to hype things up because they are biased against Romney. Obama has failed this country and people need to wake up and come to their senses and realize this country needs a better and newer president and that is MITT ROMNEY! Unfortunately you 47%ers are the minority in this battle
Jeff Curran October 31, 2012 at 12:46 PM
Amen Right On
Jeff Curran October 31, 2012 at 12:50 PM
I think Mitt Romney will help America, we need to have a national budget and stick to it, I think barry sorento should be fired. Thanks for listening. Jeff

I am sure so many employers will give their workers time off (without pay) to attend. Got to get young faces in the pictures somehow. Of course it is not "mandatory", but attendance will be taken. . . Love the letters from CEO's telling people who to vote for in the Presidential race!
Lynda October 31, 2012 at 01:40 PM
So, george w, welcome back. We missed you. Thanks for trying to explain the complicated way unemployment rates are calculated, but like most things in your presidency, you left out the facts. And, played the whining victim card, "Oh woe is me, the whole media must be biased because they don't just take my talking points as truth. Dick Cheney promised me they would. Fox news always does. Whine, whine, whine. I am just a poor white man who got into Harvard with my daddy's influence and all these "other people" are winning when I am the "entitled one". Whine, whine, whine.
Lynda October 31, 2012 at 01:46 PM
So, J C, you do know that the House of Representatives is actually responsible for appropriations. And when those two wars were being fought off budget, did I see you outside the Bush II White House protesting we "need a national budget and stick to it"? Thought not. Somehow, I just don't think the budget issue is what bothers you about President Obama. . .
