Young Leads Ehrlich in New Poll

StPetePolls shows Young with a nine-point lead, as Ehrlich releases her first TV campaign video.

Results from a new survey by StPetePolls show Congressman C.W. Bill Young with a nine point lead over Democratic challenger Jessica Ehrlich.

The poll was conducted during the first week in October, in a telephone survey of 4,120 likely voters within eight Florida U.S. Congress districts. It has Young at 48.7 percent and Ehrlich at 39.8 percent, with 11.5 percent undecided.

Late last week, Young introduced the "Real Mitt Romney" during a Romney campaign stop at the St. Petersburg Pier.

The ad says:

"Before the Buccaneers, Nixon was President, Disco was on the rise and Bill Young was in Congress.

"I'm Jessica Ehrlich, and Bill Young is a nice man, but after 42 years Congress he's lost touch. Why else would he vote twice for the Ryan budget that ends the current Medicare system?

"Seniors pay thousands more each year and the wealthy get more tax cuts.

"I approved this message because we need a fresh approach. It's not working now."
