Classes to Continue as Planned at USF St. Pete

The school sent out a notice Thursday morning stating classes have not been canceled because of Tropical Storm Andrea.

As St. Pete and the Tampa Bay area remain in a Tropical Storm Warning, the University of South Florida St. Petersburg is reminding students and faculty to stay safe ... and to say classes will continue as planned.

"Classes remain open today as USF St. Petersburg officials monitor Tropical Storm Andrea," the school wrote in a news release. "Please use caution as you move about the region and the campus today. Heavy rain and winds are expected throughout the day."

The school said it would send out messages and MoBull Messenger text message emergency alerts should anything significant change.
