Workshop: Applying for City Arts and Culture Grant

The City of St. Petersburg is offering about $175,000 in grants to eligible nonprofit arts and cultural organizations for the next budget year to assit them in underwriting their operating expenses.

Organizations interested in applying for this money are encouraged to attend this workshop. Applications and guidelines to receive funds are available online at www.stpete.org/budget/grantsc.asp. The applications are due on or before Friday, June 15.

The city says its Arts Advisory Committee will evaluate the applications and make recommendations to City Council in October. To be eligible, a nonprofit cultural organization must serve the residents of St. Petersburg. The amount provided to each organization depends on the merit of the application and the operating budget of the organization.
