Food Truck Rally Coming to USF St. Pete

On Saturday, May 5, the USF St. Pete Campus will host St. Petersburg's first food truck rally.

To celebrate the end of the school year, the University of South Florida St. Petersburg said that on Saturday, May 5 it will host the first food truck rally ever held in downtown St. Petersburg.

Organized by Tasting Tampa, the USF St. Pete food truck rally will be in Parking Lot 2, at 2nd Street S and 6th Avenue S, from 4 - 8 p.m. It is free and open to the public. 

At least 13 food trucks are expected to participate. According to the news release:

"USFSP is pleased to partner with Tasting Tampa to bring the exciting concept of food trucks to USFSP as a way to celebrate the end of the academic year with our students, faculty, staff and the community.

Tasting Tampa has organized a series of successful food truck events, including the very first ever held in the Tampa Bay area, which drew some 3,500 people in Hyde Park. It also sponsored the first Mayor’s Food Truck Fiesta in downtown Tampa."

The USF St. Pete rally will be held the day after final exams conclude and the day before spring commencement.

Free parking will be available at the campus parking garage. Metered street parking will also be available.
