Countdown to Opening Day: Party Under the Dome Before Game Time
When the defending American League East Champion, the Tampa Bay Rays, open the 2011season Friday at Tropicana Field, fans will be able to party at the dome two hours before first pitch.
In an effort to get more fans into Tropicana Field before the game (and perhaps out of the watering holes that surround the stadium?), the Rays are trying a new fan-friendly concept this year and creating a "Happy Hour" at each home game.
Only the hour is two hours long.
At Center Field Street, just past the rotunda, the Brewhouse and new Everglades BBQ Smokehouse restaurant will be open with daily specials, and live music will fill the concourse as fans can also be part of the pregame radio shows broadcast live from the Brewhouse and heard on WDAE-AM 620.

The Rays team store will be open as well for fans to gear up for the season.
Lastly, the best way to draw in fans and get them fired up for the game: $3 beers!
