Looking for a good laugh Friday night, head to the for "Shut up and Laugh" with D.L. Hughley and friends. The bill also includes Gary Owen and Saturday Night Live’s Jay Pharoah. Tickets start at $25 and can be purchased online. The show begins at 8 p.m.

Start the weekend in style Friday at this popular summertime event sponsored by WMNF (88.5 FM). Dine on exquisite cuisine and enjoy jazz from some of the best local musicians. Admission includes exhibitions in the Hazel Hough Wing. On Friday, enjoy music from The George W. Carroll Quintet. The show begins at 6:30 p.m. and is $10. 

3. Cupcake Contest

Got a sweet tooth? This Saturday St. Pete will be celebrating "National Cupcake Day" in style. From noon - 3 pm.,  will host the second annual Great St. Pete Cupcake Contest. Admission is free and if you wish to enter your own cupcakes, it is $15. 

4. Craft Beer Experience

Beer lovers, head to the Mahaffey Theater Saturday for the Craft Beer Experience. Enjoy more than 100 types of craft beer, food from an array of downtown St. Petersburg restaurants and live music. Participating breweries include Kona Brewing Company, Red Hook Brewery, Tampa Bay Brewing Company, Magic Hat Brewing Company, and Florida Avenue Brewing. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. The event is from 4 - 8 p.m. 

Bill Seward and Soulfonic

On Saturday night, welcomes Billy Seward and Soulfonic. The music will be a "mix of blues, soul and horn-driven R&B". The show starts at 8 p.m. Saturday and tickets are $12.
