Let's Get This Rays Rally Started

Ferg's Sports Bar is the place to be Monday afternoon for a rally to end all rallies.

ST. PETERSBURG – Monday night's Tampa Bay Rays game is sold out but fans can still support the team. Rally on the Rays is from 2-5 p.m. at Ferg's Sports Bar and Grill on Central Avenue, which is in hitting ditance of Tropicana Field.

Ferg's open-air sports bar, just across Central Ave. from the Police Station, will host live music on the outdoor stage. DJ Mad Mac will make sure the crowd is stoked for Monday's game, which starts at 5:10 p.m. One of the Rays' biggest fans also will be on hand: Mayor Bill Foster and other city leaders will offer their comments and support of the hometown team.

Of course, the game also will be televised, with Ferg's offering bar-stool seating for the beer-swilling public. The rally also will include live radio remotes, official and promotional Rays merchandise, free give-aways.

Monday’s 5 p.m. game at Tropicana Field is against the Texas Rangers, with the series tied at 1-1. The first to win three games wins the series.
