Women's Half Marathon Sunday, Will Cose Roads
The Lady Speed Stick Women's Half Marathon St. Pete is this weekend in downtown St. Petersburg. The run will temporarily close roads.
This weekend more than 4,500 women are expected to compete in the Lady Speed Stick Women's Half Marathon St. Pete.
The race takes place Sunday morning through downtown St. Petersburg and the waterfront. Proceeds from the race benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the Women’s Running Magazine 5k.
Many driving routes throughout the downtown area will be altered because of the race, which starts and finishes in Albert Whitted Park.

Most road closures and detours will be in effect between the hours of 5 am and 11:30 am. Some of the major road closures include:
- Coffee Pot Blvd. NE
- Snell Isle Blvd NE
- Bay Shore Dr. SE
- 1st Ave. S
- 2nd Ave. NE
- Mirror Lake Dr. N
- Monterey Blvd NE
- Almedo Way
