Great Explorations: Redone

If you haven't been to great Explorations on 4th street recently (or ever), now would be a great time to stop in.  The awesome staff at Great X have been hard at work this year remodeling the museum, and the new editions are finally open to the public.

The second floor has been redone and features several human health exhibits promoting exercise and good nutrition.

The first floor has been completely redecorated in the theme of the Wizard of Oz.  A construct-it-yourself yellow brick road, Glinda's Castle containing the complete collection of L Frank Baum's Oz literature and a pair of diamond slippers, and even a cute little tornado display done completely in monochrome.

Of course Great X still has all the old favorites like mini-Publix, the firetruck, the pre-K farm, the touch tunnel/reptile habitat, and the tree house.  So the next time you're in need of a rainy day activity make a stop at Great Explorations.
