Benefit Bike Ride to Cause Road Delays

More than 1,000 motorcycles roll through St. Petersburg for a good cause during the annual Bubba's Bikes for Badges benefit this Sunday, April 15. Motorists will see slight delays along the route as more than 1,800 ride to benefit the memorial fund of fallen Lakeland police officer Arnulfo Crispin.

The route departs Jim's Harley Davidson, 2805 54th Ave. N., at 10 a.m. proceeding west along 54th Ave. N. before turning south on Park St. Riders will travel east on First Ave. S. and north on 28th Ave. to 54th Ave. N., before returning to Jim's Harley Davidson.

Traffic will be controlled at all major intersections but motorists should expect delays in crossing the route during event hours, a news release said.

The ride is expected to conclude around noon followed by a silent auction, bike show and wash at the dealership.

According to the news release, the event carries a $20 advance registration fee at www.btlsfoundation.org or riders may sign up at Jim's Harley Davidson on Sunday for $30 beginning at 8 a.m.
