Rays, Pet Pal to Host Pet Food Drive

The pet food drive will take place at Sept. 20 at Tropicana Field before the Rays take on the Boston Red Sox.

The Tampa Bay Rays and Pet Pal Animal Shelter are partnering for a pet food drive at Tropicana Field on Thursday, Sept. 20 during the Rays-Red Sox game at 7:10 p.m.

According to a Rays news release, fans are encouraged to bring Science Diet brands, or other nutritious dog and cat food to assist the Pet Pal Animal Shelter community. The collection points are located inside the rotunda at Gate 1 and at Gate 5 of Tropicana Field.

The Rays Wives and volunteers from the shelter will staff the collection points from when gates open until the end of the 2nd inning, a news release said.
