St. Vincent de Paul has outreach and food programs for the poor in communities throughout the U.S. The St. Pete food kitchen is one of two sites in west Florida. The other is in Clearwater. The soup kitchen is on the outskirts of downtown, near the I-275 overpass, and serves three square meals, 365 days a year. It also provides transitional housing, overnight shelter, job training and literacy services. It relies on help from volunteers and donors.
