Update: Runaway Child Returns Home
Police said 10-year-old Alena Lynn Beattie ran away from her home at 2353 58 St. N sometime between 8 a.m. and noon today.
Update, 5:45 p.m.: Alena Beattie has been located and returned home unharmed, according to St. Petersburg Police. Earlier, 4:45 p.m.: St. Petersburg Police are searching for a runaway 10-year-old girl Tuesday afternoon. Police said Alena Lynn Beattie ran away from her home at 2353 58 St. N sometime between 8 a.m. and noon today. Alena, 10, is a light skinned biracial female, who is, 5'0", 95 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes. Police said she was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans shorts (see attached flyer) and possibly carrying a suitcase. According to police, Alena left a note for her mother citing a disagreement they had the previous evening as the reason for her leaving. She has not runaway in the past, police said. …
