While Vintage Ultra Lounge in downtown St. Pete has closed its doors this week, the Jannus Live Complex has announced the return of an iconic club to take its place.
Valentine's Day weekend served as a goodbye party for friends and staff at The Vintage Ultra Lounge in downtown St. Pete. After five years of dancing, drinks and live bands, the local bar announced they were closing their doors at 16 2nd St. N. On Feb. 15, the Vintage made the announcement on its Facebook page : "We regret to inform you that the rumors you may have heard about Vintage being evicted from our current location are true." Less than a week later, on Wednesday, Feb. 20, the Jannus Live Complex announced the return of Club Detroit in its place. Club Detroit served as a venue for up-and-coming local and national acts in the 80s and 90s in downtown St. Pete, according to the news release. Now, the namesake will return to its …
