Driver Arrested in Road Rage Case; Second Man at Large

St. Petersburg Police identified the 20-year-old suspect after publicizing a surveillance video.

ST. PETERSBURG – A 20-year-old St. Petersburg driver, charged Thursday with aggravated assault, is accused of arming himself with handguns and threatening motorists in two separate incidents. St. Petersburg Police arrested Jousue Rodriguez of 4635 Juanita Way South after he was identified in surveillance video that showed him standing outside Sunshine Foods on July 15, just prior to an altercation with another driver. Rodriguez is accused of shooting two guns into the air after following the driver to a St. Petersburg apartment complex. The driver fled the scene. Rodriguez was arrested at about 12:30 p.m. Thursday, at 5th Avenue North and 34 Street, where he was pulled over while driving a white Ford Explorer. No guns were found. Rodriguez…

Guns Fired in St. Pete Road Rage Incident

The 22-year-old victim claims that two men in a Ford Explorer followed his car and fired guns into the air after an argument and near collision.

ST. PETERSBURG – Police are looking for two young men who fired handguns into the air on July 15, after getting into an argument with a driver at the Sunshine Foods Store. Police found a total of 18 shell casings in the parking lot at the Pinellas Point Apartment Complex after the two suspects followed the driver from the store, on 62 Avenue South. The suspects traveled in a white Ford Explorer. St. Petersburg Police detectives released a video of the two suspects, which shows them outside Sunshine Foods just prior to the altercation. According to the 22-year-old male victim, he was attempting to back out of a parking space when he nearly collided with the Ford Explorer.
