Gene "Doc" Webb

About Gene

I am a retired public sector director and manager serving
the City of St. Petersburg, Florida for over 28 Years. My primary focus is technology management and the application of technology to public sector problems including law enforcement.

Prior to my public service, I worked in the private
sector in the aerospace industry and retail management.

My educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in
Electrical Engineering, an MBA and a PhD in Management Science. I have written numerous articles, three books on telecom infrastructure, and I am contributor to a variety of blogs.

My primary interests are the human condition and the
impact of technology, politics and government on our daily lives.

I am a political conservative and frequent advisor to
regional and local political candidates. I tend to be a fiscal conservative.

I had the honor of being asked to serve on Governor
Chiles Telecommunications Task force and won the Florida's Ben T. Davis Productivity award for that effort.

 My family operates a 4th generation small retail business
in Northern Indiana. A number of my siblings have been or are currently in Public Service. I have one daughter and four grandchildren.

Hi Doc,

I am working on a feature film that is helping a great cause as well as offering people the opportunity to get involved with the film. I think this would be a great story to write about and tell people. I just wanted to pass this along. …Or If it’s not too much trouble, pledge on something (they are offering great things!) and if you can also please pass this along to your friends.
