A Slice of the Burg Festival Hopes to Save Historic YMCA

A Slice of the Burg, a music/food/art festival held June 1 outside the Historic YMCA, will be headlined by George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic.

The group working to save the Historic YMCA building in downtown St. Petersburg is hoping you're going to get down and get a little funky to help save the building June 1 at 'A Slice of the Burg'.

George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic will be headlining the inaugural event where proceeds will help efforts to save Historic YMCA. 

According to event organizers, A Slice of the Burg is a one-day music, art and food festival.

A Slice of the Burg will take place from noon - 11 p.m., June 1 outside the Historic YMCA located on 5th Street between 1st and 2nd Avenue South. 

Tickets, which are pay-what-you-can, can be purchased online. VIP tickets are also available.

Other acts appearing at the one-day event include: The Black Honkeys, Fall on Purpose, Save the Radio, The Stereotypes and Bet me I'm Lying.
