Doc's 2012 Wrap Up - A Look In the Rear View Mirror
2013 will be a great year here at your St. Pete PATCH. Be sure to check the site often, and have a great new year.
Everyone puts together a list of things from the past year, so not wanting to break the tradition I selected a Post or two from each month of 2012 that seemed relevant.
For those of you new to PATCH and/or my Blog here is a quick chance to catch up. Please feel free to comment on any of the Posts.
In January the issue of the Hilton Impact fees and the Pier were on a lot of people's minds. One Year later it is still mostly unresolved. Is Restoring Public Confidence Worth $25K? You Bet It Is. The new Pier began to unravel: Winning Pier Design? Let's Start the Process Over Again.

In February I took a look at the Foster 40: Foster and the Foster Forty - On The Ropes. Also in February I posted: St. Petersburg's New Budget Director Makes a Hasty Exit.
In March I became concerned about St. Pete's identity and posted: A City Losing Its Identity , and I spent an exciting day at Tampa Bay Downs: A Day at the Track - No the Other Track.

In April I took issue with the fact that not a single member of the St. Pete PD Command staff Showed up at a biker charity event to support fallen officers leaving the Mayor to go it alone: Where was the St. Pete Police Command Staff? I also jumped on the Light rail issue: Is Light rail Really the Answer?
In May the issue of police officers running red light camera intersections revved up: Police Officer Driving Reports Hard to Obtain and Cops Red Lights and Speeding. Also in May was Council member Jim Kennedys new group "St. Pete Together": What's the Real Motive Behind St. Pete Together?. It seems to have died from natural causes.
In June I spent a few moving hours at the VA War Memorial Cemetery; The Price of Freedom is Visible Here. And the still unanswered question about surveillance cameras in high crime areas: Chief Harmon Should Provide Input on Surveillance Cameras.
In July along with others I raised the question about former Mayor Rick Bakers' political future: Should Rick Baker Run For Mayor in 2013. And a Post about the Rays and Bud Selig's original call about baseball in St. Pete: Bud Selig Was Right About the Rays.
In August the first Town Crier Post premiered about the Pier Ballot: Pier Peasant Uprising Quelled. And a comment on Mayor Foster's Status with baseball: Is Billy About To Lose the Ball?
September brought a trip to the recently opened Showtime Speedway in Pinellas Park: Let's Go Racing at the Showtime Speedway. And a look at the Court records for the Pier Lawsuit: See Court Records on the Pier Lawsuit.
October brought the question: What's really Going On At City Hall? and a question about the LENS: What Was the Real Inspiration for the LENS?
In November Old Northeast PATCH became ST. Pete PATCH, I raised the question: Why Won't The Lens Team Follow the Rules, and A Casual Conversation with Rick Baker. Once again the issue of the Police Chief and Surveillance Cameras resurfaced with No Security Cameras in High Crime Areas.
In December I had A Casual Conversation with Herb Polson, Some thoughts about Mullet: , and I introduced Elroy and Cletus in The Legend of The Big Bed Pan.
